Good education must encompass more than the standard academic subjects and our schools provide a range of co-curricular activities as part of the timetabel, suited to the ages of students.

  Arts and Carfts

Children are also given the opportunity to experience various methods and techniques which enable them to enjoy the satisfaction of creativity and good craftsmanship. Emphasis is more on how things are done rather than what things are done. Many of our students have won prizes in inter-school exhibitions.

  Music

The first name of our music lesson is to foster an appreciation of music among our students. Music is a part of our culture and tradition and all children deserve access to the joy and enrichment which music can bring. Music helps to deserve a child’s listing skills, and understanding of rhythm, sequence, phrase and pitch.

  Physical Education & Games

The part that these play in an all-round education is now universally accepted. Physical Education is part of the regular timetable for all students. The games that are played depend to some extent on the physical environment of the school. Where the school grounds do not offer enough space, many of our schools are able to make arrangements for games to be played on local play ground.

  Outdoor Activities

Students, both boys and girls, are encouraged to participate in outdoor activities like scouting, trekking, rock climbing, skiing and water sports for which arrangements have been made with leading organizations in the country offering these services and facilities. Besides providing fun and enjoyment, these activities also serve the useful purpose of survival training for the youngsters.

  Inter-School & Inter-regional competitions

Athletics, Cricket, table Tennis, badminton, Debating and Quiz competitions are an annual event and held in different Regions by rotation. They provide an opportunity for the participants to display and develop their skills and to meet their contemporaries from Beaconhouse schools in other parts of the country. As a result of these competitions, Beaconhouse has produced some outstanding sportsmen and sportswomen who have participated in national and international level competitions at home and abroad.

  Educational Visits.

Our schools organize outings and filed trips at intervals throughout the year to places of interest and educational value. These places are chosen for their suitability for the age of the children concerned. Apart from the interest they arouse, they are of value in reinforcing work done in school.

  School Clubs & Socities

We encourage a variety of extra-curricular activities, including participation in Boy Scout and Girl Guides programs, Anjuman-e-Urdu, Debating, Drama and many other activities. Naturally, the range of extra-curricular activities varies from school to school, depending on local conditions the age of the students, availability of transportation, special interests of teachers, etc. These activities usually take place outside school hours.

  News Lettsers & Magazines

All our schools produce regular newsletters whose main purpose is to keep parents informed about current activities and forthcoming events at each school.
The production of school magazine allows our senior students to become familiar with various aspects of publishing, whether as writers or editors. Magazines have both English and Urdu sections, and students of all ages are encouraged to contribute to them.

  The Beaconhouse Times

It has been more than five years since we introduced the monthly magazine titled The Beaconhose Times. The magazine has a two fold purpose: firstly, it is meant to disseminate information about Beaconhouse to everyone. Secondly, it is meant to educate parents and students into the latest educational research and development in the world. It is very carefully compiled to include information that we feel it should be of interest to not just to our senior students but also their parents.
